The 1990 Warriors had a lot of new starters after losing a lot of good seniors from the prior season’s state tournament team. But these Warriors went one game farther, playing in the Metrodome for the first time in the state semifinals.
Jon Behrens rushed for 1798 yards and scored a total of 32 touchdowns. After an early-season QB switch, Tony Weick moved to end and caught 15 passes for 221 yards while Tim O’Leary passed for 500 yards and 5 TDs. Steve Schmidt was a leader on defense with 120 tackles.
I have the Chokio-Alberta game and the final three playoff games, but I would like to find more of this season on tape. If you have VHS’s that I could transfer, please contact me!
