In 1985, Kristi Kremer was named Minnesota’s Miss Basketball for Class A. There were only two classes at that time, Class A and AA, and that award meant Kristi was the best at her sport that season, statewide, for all of Class A. To get an idea of Kristi’s dominance, I highly recommend reading this Star Tribune article from December 1984 in which she is compared to Wilt Chamberlain. Kristi set just about every school record, and despite not having the benefit of a 3-point line back then and playing shorter seasons than today, many of Kristi’s records still stand.

While Kristi played a key role in building the program and tradition for girls basketball in Wheaton, there have been many other great girls basketball teams and players that have followed.

Brylie Schultz finished her career in the 2022-2023 season as the all-time leader in rebounds and blocked shots and second overall in scoring. In addition, she set several season and game records as shown below.

Julia Schmidt, who still has her junior and senior seasons ahead of her, already has set the single-season 3-point record and is climbing the charts in scoring and steals.

The Wheaton Warriors became Wheaton-Herman-Norcross in 1991. These records are compiled from stats from every season except for 1975-1976 and the inaugural season in Fall 1973. If you see any discrepancies or have anything to add, please contact me!
