Thanks to my mom for making another trip to the Gazette, I now have football stats from 1969 to present. I look forward to being able to finish the ’60s, as there were a couple great teams with Jerry Schultz and Jim Satter. My biggest takeaways from the ’70s? Mitch Frisch and Brook Buchholz both must have been amazing defensive players, and the Baldrys pumped out a lot of great football players! Dean Baldry was the Warriors’ leading rusher in the 1970s. Gary Braness had the best single-season as a receiver but Roy Steffens had bigger career numbers. And at quarterback, Scott Gail led most passing stats for his career but Royce Nielson had one big year when the Warriors passed much more than usual.
